The 2008 IPPY Bronze Award

This is a great moment for me and I wanted to share it. The Opposite Sex has won a Bronze medal in the 2008 Independent Publisher Book Awards. This year’s contest attracted 3,175 total entries, with over 2,500 entries in the national categories and over 600 entries in the regional competition. The medal is in the Graphic Novel/Drawn Book – Humor/Cartoon category. Thanks to everyone who encouraged me to pursue this dream. Drop me a line if you get a moment!

The Opposite Sex Graphic NovelHi, everyone. Sam has graciously allowed me to contribute this forum, which is all about the The Opposite Sex Graphic Novel and it’s upcoming sequel. I don’t want everybody to think I know everything, but I can pretty much handle any questions you may have about the story. If it’s something I don’t know, I’ll simply ask Sam to answer it you. This can be really fun if you guys want to participate. Let’s try to make it the best blog ever.  If you’re new to the OS and the buzz surrounding it, you can get caught up by visiting the website here. Leave a comment when you get back. Thanks for stopping by! Meesh

Hear the Buzz?

March 29, 2008

Welcome! This is officially the first blog dedicated exclusively to the OS and OA storyline. I know that may not make any sense to some of you, but there’s been a buzz around the web since 2005 about this story. It’s gaining momentum everyday, and it’s on it’s way to becoming something bigger than even I expected. While online in 2005, the Opposite Sex garnered daily hits of 16,000 to 20,000 hits per day. Last year it was released in print format, and has picked up a new community of readers. I’ll post some of the reviews so you can read them for yourself. It’s been a wild ride, and it’s showing no signs of slowing down. This blog is designed for you. I want to hear from you. I’ll try to create areas of discussion that we can all participate in, so feel free to give me your input. I want to become a good blogger, so keep me on my toes in case I slack off.  I hope to see you here in the near future. Once again, welcome to the OS blog. Peace!
